How it’s calculated
- 13th month pay = total basic salary earned during the calendar year ÷ 12.
- Only basic salary is included; allowances, overtime, night differential and other non-basic pay are excluded.
- Employees who worked less than a full year receive a prorated amount based on months actually worked.
- Mandated by Presidential Decree No. 851 and DOLE guidelines; payable on or before December 24.
